I Ate Too Much
You may be wondering why I disappeared all weekend. Most likely not, because you probably knew that I was busy shoving my face with delicious food.
And here is my plate. Thanksgiving is so tricky with the whole not liking my food to touch thing. I have to be strategic.
My plate looks so cute. Especially compared to Torrance’s beast.
Oh, it was also the first Thanksgiving I have ever had where I wore shorts and flip flops!
All in all, I ate entirely too much this weekend. Thanksgiving was a given. But I think I actually ate more on Friday when we all went out to Red Lobster for dinner.
And if all that wasnt enough already, on Saturday we had a little BBQ before bringing Torrance’s mom and grandma to the airport.
That was the weirdest/grossest potato salad ever by the way, grocery store potato salad… bleck.
But I do think that I need some of those sectional plates for everyday use.
It was a marvelous weekend overall and Torrance’s mom absolutely LOVED her early Christmas gift. We got her a Kindle Fire!! She doesnt really have a computer at her house (she has an old one that doesnt work) so I thought she would really like that for email, etc.
That thing is pretty awesome. I am an Apple lover and am holding out for the iPad 3 in March, but if you want a tablet, that thing is less than half the price of an iPad and after using it a bit it’s pretty dang nice.
Yesterday was the only day we were actually home since we spent the entire weekend at his uncle’s with the fam, I didnt get a whole lot of anything done though (i.e. mounds and mounds of laundry…).
We also didnt brave the black Friday shopping. I already dislike shopping with the usual amount of people to push through, let alone the busiest shopping day of the year. So we waited until yesterday to go out and about to get Christmas decorations! Finally!
I started decorating but still need to pick up a few last things and also go get a tree. We decided to get a real one this year – I cant wait, it has been a few years since we got a real one!
I am a little happy to be back to grind and routine! Also I will be consuming a large amount of fruits and veggies to make up for this Thanksgiving weekend/Red Lobster/BBQ feast craziness. I am pretty sure my pants feel tighter today.
I absolutely have to go to the grocery store after work and get food because our fridge and pantry are looking pretty wiped out, so I will be taking one more day off of group training and then heading in tomorrow!
