Rememba ‘Home Improvement?’
This post will be somewhat short and sweet because I decided to brave going to work today but am still feeling pretty under the weather (I start sweating anytime I have to do anything, ha!)
I have a feeling it will be just a half day though to get some stuff taken care of and then go rest the rest of the day. I hate calling out of work, especially more than one day.
I made this warm and comforting breakfast.
My lack of effort may be obvious as it is not as pretty as usual, but I’m sure you understand.
Yesterday I was pretty restless around the house. Torrance got home from work early which was nice and I thought it was going to take everything I had in me to wait until he got home to help me finish decorating the tree but I was so tired/lazy I honestly didnt even care that I had to wait. But we did manage to get it done!
Ta-da! And those two beautiful presents have my name on them… (you can tell because the wrapping job is superb, so Torrance definitely wrapped them!) I wonder what Santa got for me! He got a head start on wrapping presents, I havent even done one yet…. oops.
Sadly, it didnt seem like there was much on TV yesterday so I ended up watching E! True Hollywood Story and it was about the show “Home Improvement.” Please tell me you remember this show… it was like one of my childhood classics!
I learned a lot and now I almost have a different view on the show. First of all I didn’t know that Tim Allen, before his fame, had issues with drugs and served time in jail for it. And also, Jill, who plays the mom (and Tim’s wife) was originally going to be played by another actress which I couldnt even picture now.
The actor the played Al was originally just supposed to be a stand in for the pilot episode because the regular actor who they cast to play his role was out of town while they planned to film the pilot. I couldnt even imagine a different Al either!
I also completely forgot that the original “Heidi” was played by Pam Anderson, up until the point she got her Baywatch deal of course!
Arent you glad you just learned all those super important facts? See what a day of mindless TV will do for ya? (Nothing!)
I did watch a 2 hour special as well on the “40 Cutest Child Stars” (super productive I tell you what!) but that is a post for another time.
When I got sick of all that nonsense, I caught up on my magazine reading. I found this little snippet in an article in Women’s Health about breakfast on the go and getting the most bang for your buck as far as nutrients. I have to admit I felt a little less guilty when I read this because I love egg yolks (I rarely eat just egg whites anymore, I used to though!)
Obviously egg yolks are also high in cholesterol which is a negative factor for many, but it is good to know they do have some good benefits as well.
I’m off to get some work done so I can possibly head home and rest and hopefully get rid of this cold!
