My Answer For Rice & Do You Ever Just Feel Awesome?
Last night’s workout was a crazy one. Mostly because we did a lot of different moves and it was definitely a full body workout, I felt like all areas got equal attention.
That is just half the room/moves, but see the guy in the blue shirt lifting that bar that is connected to the ground? Yeah that one had my arms shaking! And here in the front on the yellow bars, we did an inclined push up and then swung our legs forward and did a tricep dip.
Behind that with the red bar overhead, that was a squat while holding that bar overhead the whole time.
Oh yes definitely a good one last night!
Once I crawled up all our stairs at home… I headed right for dinner time preparation.
Salmon with garlic, lemon, and pepper; steamed broccoli, sliced tomatoes, and rice.
Yes, I know, how on earth did I cook rice so well? (Since I really cannot ever cook it correctly).
Well this is how:
Seriously, “Uncle Ben” is my new BFF. That stuff is cheap, there are tons of flavors/different types of rice, and it really only takes 90 seconds, with nothing required on my part – meaning no possible way I can mess it up. I know – out of everything I can cook it is just ridiculous that rice is something I always mess up. Even Rice-A-Roni – I fail every. single. time.
Okay, if you are a mom stop reading right now – because you will probably think my next statement is just a joke. And also, if you are a mom, I don’t know how you do everything; you’re my hero.
With that being said – do you ever just feel like a complete badass for getting a bunch of stuff done?
(I cant talk about awesome without having a Barney Stinson reference, it just wouldn’t be right).
Okay I will elaborate.
Like I have mentioned before, nights that I go to training are a little rushed. Last night I came home and hurried and changed, walked the dog, went to training and had an amazing workout, came home and cooked dinner, ate, cleaned up dinner and cleaned the kitchen, folded and put away laundry and started more laundry, walked the dog again with Torrance, organized some dresser drawers and my workout gear (it was getting all out of control), and organized my purses (as in moved them from a pile on the floor onto a shelf in an orderly matter). All while drinking wine of course. And still managed to be in bed by 10:30.
I’m not going to lie, I felt like the most awesome person ever. (Yes, I realize this is the norm for most people, but it most def is not for me! haha).
Now, that feeling of awesome is directly related to my mood. I pretty much have 3 moods. Happy. Grumpy. Bossy.
I just happened to be happy yesterday, thus the feelings of awesome.
Some days, however, are a different story. If I’m not in the mood at the beginning of the night, I will do some of those things (walk the dog, workout, dinner, clean, laundry maybe) and I will be a snooty bitch the entire time because it is just the most awful thing ever.
And then bossy comes out to play, because I don’t want to do it and I want Torrance to help and do a bunch so I don’t have to I even boss Kona because I figure if I boss enough someday she will magically grow thumbs and fold and put away laundry (right?).
And then I will go to bed feeling relieved that I am done, rather than feeling awesome.
Funny how that works, huh?

I’m also pretty bad about boiling eggs – I use a little egg boiling machine I have so they turn out perfect every time. Horrible I know.
