2012: A Quick Recap

Well, here we are – the last day of 2012….I have to say, I’m kinda looking forward to the new year.

The best thing to do is probably do a little recap of how my 2012 went… other than just “really ridiculously busy.” So here we go:

We went on some pretty fun mini-trips.

Including Myrtle Beach…

Where we sang karaoke and had way too many jell-o shots out of syringes.

And my first trip to the beach in NC….

Where we enjoyed the sun… and also too much drinking. (What is it about drinks and the beach?)

Oh, and our weekend in Vegas….

…Where I got to reunite with my high school BFF that I hadnt seen in 4 years!

Torrance’s dad got married.

This kinda goes along with the above too because it was another fun mini-trip since we traveled back to Alaska for the wedding!

My parents came to visit.

This gets special mention, because it was their first time visiting our new home in NC and also unlike a lot of people, I don’t get to see my parents very often – so it was actually the first time in 2 years when I saw them this summer!

We went to the lake…. a lot.

This gets special mention because it is one of my all time favorite things to do/places to be!

Torrance’s mom passed away.

By far the worst part of the year. It is hard…. and has only been a little over a month since she passed.

I don’t want to go into a lot of detail with this again, but obviously this was a really, really difficult part of the year for us.

Kona went to the vet, like, 10 times.

Obviously this is not a brown dog’s fault, but this was about 8 more vet visits than she usually has in a year…crazy dog.

The world didn’t end….(again)
I think we can be pretty happy about that, right?

So tonight, I am definitely going to raise my glass of Champaign bottle of wine to toast the new year… because I am definitely looking forward to 2013!
